Happy Sunday, everyone. Hopefully this post finds you settling back into the swing of things after a busy holiday weekend, and if you’re traveling today, I hope those travels are safe and speedy. The two weeks before Thanksgiving were so hectic that I haven’t had much time to soak in the start of the holiday season, but I can feel the excitement growing. For me, getting excited about the holidays always means getting excited about holiday cooking, holiday food gifting, and celebratory recipes. I’m excited to…

Hello friends. As you can see, the Thanksgiving recipe roundup I promised for yesterday didn’t come to pass. I got hit like a ton of bricks with a nasty stomach flu on Thursday night, and I’m still in rough shape, though things have taken a turn (I hope) for the better this morning. I haven’t had quite as much time to prepare as I did for the first batch of mid-terms, so I’m a bit anxious about getting down to work, but hopefully…

Good morning, and happy Sunday. I’m thrilled to see that so many of you are interested in the Hamilton Beach 6-quart slow cooker giveaway–keep those entries coming! And I was even happier to see that so many of you liked my masala lentil recipe. I’ve got leftovers in my fridge and my freezer, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s the first of November, and I’m absolutely astonished at how quickly the fall has been flying by. I tend to feel as…

Each Sunday, I publish a post that includes personal musings and articles on medicine, science, and the human experience. These are reminders that health and wellness extend far beyond what's on our plates.
